Ross on Wye

Ye Old Ferrie Inn

A new venue for us, we stayed in Symonds Yat.  On the first day we explored around our hotel, walking around Great Doward and Leeping Stocks Nature Reserve before visiting Ye Old Ferrie Inn (see here for walk).

The next day we walked along the River Wye, before crossing over the river:

to Symonds Yat East. After lunch by the ferry:

we climbed Symonds Yat Rock, for spectacular views of the River Wye:

and to observe peregrine falcons (see here for walk).

The next day we visited Tintern Abbey:

and climbed up to the Devil’s Pulpit:

before stopping for a delicious pub lunch in Brockweir before walking back via the Old Station and the River Wye (see here for walk).

On our final day we visited Ross-on-Wye.
